Protesters disrupt Soldier’s funeral in Seaford delaware

Today in My Small Town of Seaford, Delaware, Protesters disrupted the reverance of a young soldier’s funeral.

Corporal Cory Palmer who was twenty one years of age from Seaford Delaware Was killed In Iraq. He was injured on May 1 2006 and on May 6 2006 he passed away from his injurys His funeral was today May 21 2006 at St. John’s Methodist Church. sign2

In our small community we have lost 3 of our soldiers in the Iraq War. Toward the beginning of the war we lost Ryan Long and this month we have lost both Cory Palmer and Richard “Rick” James. These men, our Heroes, OUR boys! They put their lives on the line fighting for our country, defending our freedom, helping to spread freedom. Fighting for something they believed in. These young men deserve our respect! They deserve to be remembered properly. Their families deserve the right to greive for their lost soldiers and should be allowed to do that without disruption.

I believe in the right to protest, I believe in freedom of speech, but these protesters took it to a new level. They dragged the American Flag on the ground, they stomped on the flag, they wiped their butt with the flag, everything short of burning the flag. This is something I might expect from a third world country, not from Americans. As if that wasn’t enough they carried signs. Signs that read:

Thank GOD for IEDs
GOD Hates Fags
Thank GOD for Dead Soldiers
Thank GOD for 911
Semper Fi = Semper Fag
GOD Hates the U. S.

among other signs…UNBELIEVEABLE!

Toward the end of the protest, a man jumped over the barricade and punched one of the protesters in the face!

A witness to these events, Bryan Salyer, when asked how he felt about the protesters, stated “Without lowering myself to the protesters level, I can only say GOD BLESS AMERICA!” army

I live in a small town. We respect our troops, our fallen soldiers, our FAMILY! These people came from who cares where and disrespected us.

I have two young men about their age and I could not even begin to imagine what or how these parents must feel. My heart goes out to them.

You may not agree with the war in Iraq. You may not agree with the Bush administration.
But we all must remember how we obtained the right to agree or diagree and why this country is a free country.

There is a time and place for everything. If you are treated unfairly at work, you picket your jobsite. If you disagree with a law passed in your town, you picket the city hall. If you disagree with a war, you picket the white house or a presidential speech, NOT A SOLDIER’S FUNERAL! I would think that any decent respectable person would not disrespect any person who has passed away but then again what do I know.

All of the pictures I posted today are not of the protesters, I dont believe they have a place on my Blog!

Fallen Soldier Palmer Soldier Funeral Protest

  1. This hate group says in their propaganda that they have stopped praying for America because we are already doomed.
So, why were they here? They only harass the families of fallen soldiers.
All of these a-holes took turns spitting on our flag and wiping their feet on it, smiling and taunting patriotic Americans the whole time.
I don’t want to say anything that these monsters could use in court, but they didn’t get out of Seaford unscathed!
When they were charged by a number of patriots, their slimey smiles turned to looks of terror and they ran to their escape van like scared little bitches!
I had my head in the driver’s window and was yelling, “You moth** fu***** eat sh**, when the long side window on the other side of the van was busted out. I saw these “brave” protestwhores cowering and shaking in the floor of the van, again, like scared little bitches. (Yes, I stooped to their level and am damn proud of it)!
If the police hadn’t done ther job so well, I don’t believe a single one would have left Seaford alive. And I really think any prosecution would have a hard time finding a jury that would see it as anything other than justifiable homocide.

  2. That odious group is led by preacher Fred Phelps of Topeka, Kansas. His “protesters” are his immediate family and his brainwashed grandchildren. He’s traveled the country for 20 years preaching hatred and violence. He protested Matthew Shephard’s funeral, and those of men who died of AIDS. He runs the “God Hates Fags” website.

Phelps’ new obsession is protsting the funerals of fallen soldiers. He thinks that God sent the Iraq war to punish the U.S. for having gay citizens. Phelps is crazy, hateful, and desperate for publicity. He’s so outrageous, he gets press coverage wherever he goes, despite the fact that he represents no more than 20 people on this earth.

Please don’t confuse Phelps with the millions of Americans who are angry that we were lied into this unending war, who are worried about the troops, and who are desperate for the war to end and our troops to come home.

I marched in an anti-war rally with 20,000 other citizens last month — every sign I saw, every person I met supported the troops. Some of the marchers were Iraq war veterans, their brothers, their parents. We just want the troops home, safely.

  3. Thank you for your comment, It’s amazing to me that a person who is so hateful and represents so few can receive so much publicity and cause so much pain. Does he not realize that the very reason he is alowed to protest the way he does is because of the great american heros that died for all his freedoms.
