I have a 17 1/2 year old son, who only has about 2 years of credits. He naturally feels that he “knows” everything. He feels that he will not go to school now, but wait until he turns 18 and go to school then. I can just see him not completing school at all. In 5 years I can just see him, no job skills, no money, and no future. He “plans” on going into the service. They would not take him without the education. I can not force him to go to school. He would just take off. He has moved out and will not come back home to live because we are trying to “control” his life. Not trying to control it, trying to guide him on a better path.

Don’t give in but don’t give up try to get him home somehow.
