One of the local radio  shows has a piece called the Darwin files each morning.  It tells of hapless stupid criminals who can’t get anything right and make it extremely easy for the cops to arrest them.  I’ve had many favorites over the years (including the woman in NC who took a blow-torch to visit her boyfriend i prison so she could dissolve the plexiglass that was between them) but I don’t think anything prepared me for the visual of the story last week.  A loser (which is all you can call this man) decides to steal a car, which on its own merit is bad enough.  But, whether suffering from mere bad judgment, bad eyesight, good drugs, not only does he pick a police car to steal, but he picks a K-9 unit.  It didn’t really say how many pieces of him the cops scraped up and took to jail after the big ole german shephard dog got him, but I suspect this man might think next time or at least avoid the letters “K-9 Unit” on a police car.  One can only hope.
