Solomans Island, Maryland, traveling to Deltaville, Virginia

This was a ride that started out ok but we picked up some bad fuel along the way from a gas dock in Solomans Island.

Leaving out around 640 am in the morning , a late start to a fifty six mile hop with less daylight each day. The first delay was leaving – the stern light that was just fixed had been pinched off and had to be repaired we’re trying to leave before daylight.

About twenty five miles out we slowed the RPMs down on the engine and it was fluttering.

We added Marvels Mystery Oil to the gas and back to thirteen hundred RPMs and it was ok – so we thought we over did the marvels…. To be continued

It was a cold day but we pressed on looking forward to the warmer days a head of us just south.

Coming into the anchorage at Queens Creek just south of Deltaville, Virginia, the channel was clear don’t be fooled by the sandbar on the starboard side as you make your final approach into the anchorage.
As we arrived into the anchorage the engine died, so when everything was settled we started to think about what to do.

We had figured that it has run so well that it has to be the carb. So we adjusted it and it ran ok so it should be good to go in the morning.
